How much do you spend on newborn baby diapers monthly?

Public Comments

  1. I spent over 80 dollars a month in diapers. that was 7 yrs ago.
  2. $50-$70 depending on the kind of diapers u buy and how often baby poo's and pee's. Newborns go through soo many diapers a day and need to be changed quite often. I always use Huggies and they arent cheap..
  3. We buy either huggies or pampers in the 40 count bags and spend about $9.50 on each bag. We use about 1 bag a week and so it takes about $40.00. There are cheaper brands but we don't want to risk using a bad brand and our baby getting a rash, our second couldn't wear cheap diapers. As your baby gets older and has to get changed less you won't have to buy as many. Good Luck!!
  4. It really does depend on the type of diapers. But also dont forget there are cloth diapers. If you are working on a tight budget.. you might want to consider going that route. Best wishes.
  5. I can't remember......I know I went through a lot and I used the really good ones because of those squirty breastfed poops!
  6. about $60 dollars. but, it's worth it to keep their little booties dry.
  7. i buy a big box of diapers so i spend about maybe around 30.00 a month.
  8. I spent about $70 a month because my baby was in size 1-2 at birth. You get less in a bag and they are the samae price. I also started out with the white cloud brand because they were cheaper and they are cheap for a reason. I love the huggies supremes now.
  9. I haven' t tried it out yet(only 21 weeks) but you can go to 1800diapers.com and they have some good deals on huggies and pampers. I plan on using huggies because I have heard they work great.
  10. Are you pregnant now? Try to buy a pack a week of various sizes through out your pregnancy, to spread the cost out. Also, that way you can be choosy about sales ad coupons. Also, a lot of other expenses come up after the baby is born, so if you are ahead on diapers, you can use that money for other things. Also, my husband's fiend threw him a "beer and diapers" party. They all got together bought a pack of diapers over, and some beer, and partied right before he became a Daddy :)
  11. I went to Babies R' Us and bought the big boxes, my son was born in the winter, didn't want to take him out in the cold unnecessarily , it cost me about $60.00 for 2 boxes 120 count, on size 1 Pampers brand, I figure buying alot of small packs will cost more in the end. Don't buy too much, newborns grow fast and too much of the same size will be a waste of money, stupid exchanging and what not. Good Luck
  12. It will depend on how often your baby goes to the bathroom. Sounds obvious, but some newborns poop 5-6 times a day, especially at first. Others poop once a day or even once every week (especially breastfed babies after the first couple weeks). The range is entirely normal, as long as the poop is soft. My baby poops once every two-three days, usually. I change her diaper roughly every two-three hours for wetness, except when she sleeps....then I change her when she wakes up to eat. I buy my diapers at Target, the store brand (they're very good; I liked them better than Pampers). 112 diapers for roughly 11 dollars a bag. I go through a little over 2 packs a month. So, we only spend about 25 dollars a month on diapers, but that's at the newborn size. As soon as we finish using up the last batch I bought (I tend to buy 2-3 bags at a time), we'll have to move up to the next size, and, as you move up, there are less diapers in the bag.
  13. About $60.00. I used Pampers Swaddlers and got them in the huge cardboard box at BJs. It saved a lot of $$.
  14. Well I spent about $40 a month on newborn ones, but once he got a little bigger its only about $30 a month. At first I bought my diapers at costco in a big box, now I order off amazon, but I am picky & huggies natural supreme are the only one my son doesn't leak out of. Amazon also has free super saver shipping, so it doesn't cost any extra to ship! They have huggies & pampers & they have specials often ($30 gift card when you spend $99) so I get 4 cases of diapers & a package of swim diapers for $109 when all is said & done.
  15. Around $30 or so.
  16. I spend about 70 to 80 on diapers monthly, depending upon coupons and sales prices.
  17. I spend about 40 bucks a month since my daughters been born on diapers. I use parents choice and white cloud diapers which are walmart brands but work great!
  18. Around $40, that isn't bad. It can get much worse.
