Premium Nappies

Is fresh milk readily available in Tunisia and can you buy Pampers nappies out there or should I bring my own?

We are going to Skanes in two weeks with our one year old, i have already started her on cows milk so I won't have to worry about making up formulas but I am worried that I will only be able to get powdered milk in the shops. Also, I was hoping to buy nappies out there instead of lugging them on the plane ... are they easy to get a hold of?

  1. Pampers should be readily available but be prepared to pay slightly more, and as for milk it may only be goats milk. Check with your travel operator after all its Tunisia, you will probably find there are such things as supermarkets out there!!
  2. Diapers are readily available here. You can find a variety of brands: Pampers, Lilas, Peaduce, etc. You can buy them from the major stores such as Monoprix, Magasin Genreal, Champion, Carrefour, Giant. They are also available at all pharmacies, and many smaller local stores as well. If you buy them from the pharmacies, they do tend to be about 1 TND more expensive. And as a general rule, Pampers are the most expensive brand. I have a 5 month old and I really like using Lilas Premia. They work very well and cost about 7TND for 32 diapers. As for milk, you can find it widely available everywhere. It is sold either in boxes or bottles. The only difference is the packaging - usually the bottles cost more than the boxes. I have never seen powdered milk. We are not a third world country that we drink only goats milk! LOL You will find almost everything here that you find Western countries, so please do not worry. If I can be of any more help or assistance, please feel free to contact me.
