Premium Nappies

Where to donate unused nappies in Australia?

When my little boy was born we received loads of nappies for him! Unfortunately he grew out of the newborn ones fairly quickly. We have almost 100 nappies that have never been used. Is here anywhere you can donate them? Salvation Army or anywhere like that? Im sure theres someone out there who would really love to get them.

  1. Maybe you could contact the Dept Child Protection (Child Welfare)? They might know of places that would appreciate them. I live in a remote community and there are community organisations that look after young indigenous children who don't have homes and would really appreciate something like this. There might be something like this in your area.
  2. We took ours to our doctor's surgery/baby clinic where they did the usual baby health checks each week. We just handed them to the health visitor and asked her to leave them out for parents to take if they wanted. As I'm in Scotland I've no idea if you have the same set up as we do but I'd guess that you at least have a similar sort of place? Or your child's nursery or playgroup maybe? I'm sure there's mums there that would appreciate the nappies. Although now two years later we've got another daughter on the way and I'm almost wishing we'd kept them as it would have saved us a fortune! Lol! I should have stored them somewhere. Oh well, lessons learned eh?
  3. I donated mine to op-shops and salvo's and to my child health nurse,, I dont think any charity would turn them away :)
