  1. Natural ways, ummm im not sure. I just use Desitin.
  2. Desitin is the best.
  3. anything from the store with zinc oxide. The higher the content the better, and you have to apply it after the change of each diaper, continuously, not just when they get the rash. It is more preventative measure then cures.
  4. Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula (diaper rash cream) works great, usually after the 1st or 2nd application......Try it. You can get it at just about any drug store..... Good Luck
  5. Boudreaux butt paste is said to work wonders. I have also heard breastmilk can help which is natural. Other than than Desitin and Balmex are the big brand names. I believe Burts Bees Wax company also makes something that might be natural.
  6. PAW PAW OINTMINT. ITS GREAT. CORN FLOUR WORKS TOO. GOOD LUCK
  7. i have always used Vaseline on my babies butt and my children have never had diaper rash. To get rid of it use penaten cream. Its in a small round blue tin.
  8. Well, i've discovered that it really really depends on what type of climate you're in as far as what will work. When i'm at home in Hawaii where its somewhat humid, none of the creams or ointments will work, not when used alone. If you're somewhere that has pretty high humidity and the rash isn't to bad yet, use either johnson and johnson medicated baby powder but if you use another brand just make sure it is made with cornstarch not talc. If doesn't go away with that alone, try using a little bit of athletes foot cream mixed with fresh aloe. I have an aloe plant growing in my yard because its good for so many things, I just cut a piece off and squeeze the gel like center out, mix it with the cream then apply that directly on the rash and cover with baby powder. If you're in less humid climate then just use a thin layer of athletes foot cream covered by a layer of destin. The athletes foot cream has a medication in it that kills yeast infections which is typically the cause of a diaper rash. I travel a lot with my twins and those treatments work wonders on a diaper rash, I also always use cornstarch based baby powder at every diaper change to help prevent a rash. My girls have never had more than a few little tiny speckles of diaper rash, as soon as I see it I treat it and usually it disappears overnight two days tops and its never gotten worse. I hope it works so well for you.
  9. You need to keep the moisture away from the rash so the simplist way is to thickly lay vaseline or castor oil and Zinc cream on the rash, everytime you change the nappy, put more cream on, try and give the baby as much nappy free time as possible.
  10. The only natural way that I have heard of is cornstarch, but you can buy Johnson's baby powder that is pure cornstarch. I always use Penaten, it is the best, we apply that and then cover it with baby powder so it doesn't stick to the diaper and rub off- works wonders. Your baby may have a yeast infection, boy or girl, it looks a lot like a spotty rash, and it starts out small and can grow, but it also re-occurs if you don't get the right cream, but I would try Penaten and baby powder and if it doesn't go away in a week then check for a yeast infection. Good Luck.
  11. try getting cotton balls and water to wipe with till it heals some wipes can make it worse if u use huggies stop every child i knew got diaper rash from them lol the best butt paste i found out there was triple paste the one that comes in 2nd is boudreauxs butt paste then desitin usually vaseline is just as good best of luck i know how cranky kids get with diaper rash
  12. My daughter has some diaper rash issues (Sensitive skin). A mixture of vaseline and zinc oxide seems to help. I also stopped using baby wipes... this helped significantly. I use baby washcloths, dampened by warm water. Her rash is now minimal, only recurring when I use wipes again, or if she poos in her sleep at night and I am also asleep and didn't catch it right away. Frequent diaper changes help, too.
