  1. none...the hospital provides them and you pay for them whther you use them or not.
  2. just take one pack in, they should last you til you go home, unless you are planning on staying long! And someone will always bring you some more if you get low. Babies don't poo as much as some people make out. Good luck.
  3. you will need 10-12 each the first few days. but i didnt have to bring any.
  4. None - the hospital will have diapers. But don't forget a deck of cards and extra batteries for the camera. Congrats.
  5. none, the hospital has them for you. the ONLY thing you need for the baby is something to wear home and the carseat
  6. I would take no more than one pack in, that will be sufficient. And for your information Sainsbury's have 1/3 off nappies right now so it may be a good time to stock up. Good luck with the birth.
  7. The hospital provides diapers. No need to pack any. Good luck to you!
  8. I just packed my bag and I put one package (I think there are 48 in it) just in case,,,=)
  9. Depends on the hospital as to whether or not they provide. If you stay one day one pack is heaps. Always take a few extra. Edit- I had my baby in a QLD public hospital and they didn't provide disposables, they only provided cloth. So check with your hospital.
  10. Two packs should be plenty but if you do need more then maybe one of your visitors will get them for you. Good luck.xx
  11. You have to have room to bring your free stuff home. Don't pack any.
  12. Yes the hospital provides them for you but I would still bring a couple.
  13. i took about 15 in and then had my hubby bring in more as i needed them theres not much room to put stuff in the hospital so you will need what space you do have babies come with a lot a stuff i went in with 2 bags and came out with about 4 lol. Good luck
  14. i'd check with the hospital first, some supply nappies for you, some dont. i was told by everyone that i didnt need to take any and that the hospital would supply them. unfortunately they didn't so i didnt have any at all!! i also gave birth on xmas day so everything was shut, luckly the lovely lady in the bed next to me brought enough for 10 babys and gave me some of hers. always check with the hospital
  15. I would put one or two in the baby bag - the hospital will provide nappies while you are there.
  16. in australia they provide a packet of them for you.
  17. newborns newmally go though 5 or 6 a day, depends on how long ur planning on staying, take a pack, should be plenty, if not, hospital aways havethem and other half can go shopping lol
  18. i took 10, you may not be in hospital for very long and itis a waste of space to take too many unless you wanttolook like your moving in lol ifyou do stay a while and start running low then ask a family member to bring you somemore when they cometo visit
  19. I would say take around 12 - if you do need anymore than im sure a friend or family member wont mind picking some up for you. If you are in the UK most hospitals will not provide nappies etc, so you will need to also take your own cotton wall etc for cleaning baby xx
  20. i'm taking in 1 pack on 27. My mum said this should be more then enough. Better to pack too many just in case! Good luck :D
  21. i would just take one pack, your partner could always bring in some more if required!
  22. that depends on your stay, but i wouldn't think more than 1/2 a package. newborns don't pee much in the first few days...and pass only a few meconium stools in the first few days. once baby is eating breast milk or formula well he/she will start to make many wet diapers a day. i think i took about 12 diapers w/my last child...we were there for 5 days. i choose to bring my own diapers because i dont like the kind the hospital supplies.
  23. i had my daughter on the friday evening and was out by the saturday afternoon! i took nearly a whole pack of nappies and only used 3, but you could be in there longer so just be prepared, or have a spare hospital bag made up at home for a family member to collect if you run short! you dont want to be buying from the hospital shop over priced big time!!!!
  24. i took the whole pack of newborn size you dont know how long you will be in for if you do run out your partner can get you somemore
  25. There seems to be a bit of confusion with the answers you are getting - I think those saying the hospital provides diapers (nappies) are Americans. Most UK hospitals expect you to provide your own nappies. I was in hopital for three days and still had nappies from a pack of 28 left when we went home. It depends on how long you will be staying, but I'd pack 10-14 and then if you need more get someone to bring them when they visit.
