Can you buy nappies and baby milk in Gran Canaria?

I am going to Gran Canaria next month and i want to know if you can buy nappies and Cow & Gate baby milk out there rather then having to take them with me.

1. Of course you can buy nappies, there are babies in Gran Canaria too you know ;-) and I am sure you can buy Cow & Gate baby milk there, however, because it is too much of a risk, I would take it with you because it would be terrible to get there and not be able to find your child's specific milk. Also, branded items (such as Cow & Gate) have to be imported to Gran Canaria because its an island etc, so even if you do buy formula there, I definitely wouldn't buy the pre-made liquid formula as you'll have no way of knowing whether it was transported safely and at a regulated temperature.
2. Yes you can buy nappies no problem, the equivalent of Pampers here is Dodot but I've never seen Cow & Gate products, The hospitals here recommend Blemil baby milk which can be bought in all chemists but in the supermarkets you can buy Nestle. Hope this helps. I would just add that any imported products are temperature controlled and obviously wouldn't be allowed to be sold if they were not transported properly. The Canaries aren't a third world country so to say that a product may be unfit for use is ridiculous.
