  1. change to a diffrent diaper. if you live near a wal mart they have this diaper rash cream it works so good it is just a walmart brand not a name brand it just says baby rash cream
  2. You need to keep the area clean (yeah, i know...hard to do in a diaper). Use the medication that your doctor gave you generously to the rash. if this all started when you tried new diapers, i would suggest not using them again. course this all could be from something she ate or drank too. acidic foods and drinks can cause diaper rash- things like, tomatoes, apple juice, carrots, etc. avoid acidic foods and drinks. letting her spend some time w/out a diaper is probably helpful too. diaper rashes (yeast infections of sorts) happen in damp places where little air circulates, that's a diaper to a T...so sometimes letting them run around for a few minutes w/out one is helpful so the air can circulate on the raw skin allowing the cream your doc gave you to help. i would avoid getting her wet too, so no soaking bathes. that will only make it worse. a lot of people swear by the rash cream called Butt Paste. i've used it on my kids and honestly don't see much of a difference in time it takes to heal, but i know it doesn't sting as much as the other kinds do, and it smells quite nice. your best bet is to try to keep her as dry as possible, even if that means changin her diaper constantly when she wets. the less moisture the faster that rash will clear up.
  3. Sounds like a yeast infection to me, poor babe. If you think it is related to the Pampers then obviously switch to a different brand. Change her diaper every hour and use the nystatin. Sometimes a warm bath will help her bottom to feel better. You could even put some oatmeal in the bath water which will help soothe her skin. (It is a mess to clean up though.) Also do not use baby wipes on her sore bottom. Put some warm water on a soft wash cloth or paper towels and wipe her bottom with those as wipes may irritate her skin. I think the best thing you can do is frequent diaper changes and use the nystatin.
  4. Use cloth or nothing at all for a day or two. She needs to let the rash be exposed to the air for it to heal. The combination of the skin break down and constant exposure to the acid of urine can make it much worse. You MUST change her regularly! Checking every hour or so. Or allow her to just wear training pants or a cloth diaper for a few days and only put on a disposable if you go out. The Nystatin medicated ointment can be used liberally, so use it all up if you have to, applying at EACH diaper change. Don't use standard wipes, though, because they contain alcohol, which will be VERY painful for her. Just use a warm washcloth with no soap to clean her at each change. Even if it's just urine, you still need to wipe her after every change and apply more ointment. After her rash recovers, you can use the combination of a zinc ozide ointment, purchased OTC, like Desitin or something like that and baby powder. Apply the ointment liberally and then sprinkle powder on it. This will keep her skin protected from further break down and more rashes. Good luck and take good care of that baby!
  5. Take her to the nearest pediatriction. She, may have a yeast infection, but she may just have something like excema. he can prescribe a medication cream to help rid it. If you can't go to a doctor, try Euccerin, its a cream/lotion that you can buy at any grocery store.
  6. I have always found that just leaving the diaper off for a few hours so her bottom can get air to it works wonders, it did for my daughter, also Walmart sells something called Butt Paste and it works well, at least it did when I used it on my daughter.
  7. my son had one of these bad infections, see the area if it's yeast infection the rush will take a butterfly shape in the groin area, apply antifungal cream, let her out of diapers for a while, to let the area air out , if this didnt work try different diaper that are hypoallergic, my kid recenlty devellop an exzema i had to try many types that doesnt contain the jelly like material, and are 100% cotton.... but taking her to the pediatrican is a must just to be safe .. wish you luck
