What age were your kids when they stopped wearing nappies to bed?
My girls are 6 now (twins) They both still wear diapers to bed, they have done all their life, we are thinking of taking Katie out of them because she's been dry for a while now, but Lily wakes up about 3 out of 7 days a week with her pull-up wet. Their aren't embarrassed about it, there are several children their age where we live, and alot of them still wear Nappies to bed. They were Goodnites to bed, i think that's what they're called, they like them because they have nice patterns :)

- 2 yrs old. about 2 months after potty training her.
- At 20-21 months, a little after they were already potty trained...Your children sound a little old to still be in diapers...I mean my 6 year old daughter is long done with them...Are you sure you don't mean pull-ups?
- Things must have changed after several generations, diapers at age 6! Great business product idea, keeping kids in diapers until 12! LOL
- My older three were all out of them at night at the same time as they were day trained which was around age 2. My youngest is 8 and still wears goodnights to bed because he is wet every morning. We have had him checked by specialists to see why and he just has to outgrow it. He has a small bladder and is a heavy sleeper. It's actually pretty common according to our doctor and some kids wet until puberty. If it wasn't common they wouldn't bother making goodnights and pull ups that are sized to fit kids up to 100 lbs.
- all my kids were out of them before 2-overnight and all. the longest i have seen a child with them on over night is about 6-7 and it wasn't every night accidents, just some and they were pull-ups. i would definitely not make your child wear them if she isn't having accidents. tell her she can have big-girl underwear and let her pick them out. the other one, of course, will want the same thing. thenyou will know if she has a slight-bladder control problem, or if she is just being lazy. then when she has so many dry nights, let her pick her big-girl underwear. sometimes, without realizing it, we are giving our kids permission to do something we don't want them to do. and putting pull-ups (or nappies) on a child that really doesn't need them, is giving her permission to potty in them, becuase she knows to use the toilet during the day (right?).does she change her own "nappie" when it is wet?? i bet you do it-that could be another reason-mom gives me attention. if she continues to wet, make her change them herself. -if it still doesnt work, she might have a bladder problem (that a lot of young children have-) and you can determine what to do from there. but either way-have the one who isn't having accidents wear regular underwear.
- My son is 4 and is still in diapers at night. I was a bed wetter and I wore diapers every night up until past age 15. Pull-ups, goodnites, pampers, huggies, they are all diapers, it just the one you choose to use. We use the pampers size seven tape on diapers, they work really good and the diapers are actually probably too big for my son but he can use these diapers for a long time if necessary. Everyone has their own opinion about how old children should be and not wear a diaper at all. My take is if a child is wetting the bed, its not that big of deal to wear a diaper at night. A diaper is just plastic underwear, its not the plague, but everyone makes such a to do about older kids in diapers, I just don't understand it. I, myself was in disposable tape on diapers for bed wetting until I stopped. I turned out just fine. There is nothing wrong with keeping your kids in diapers until they can stay dry for at least 3 weeks in my opinion. good luck!

- A little before she was 3 1/2. I was afraid she would pee the bed, and so I bought a very nice mattress protector, since she has a nice mattress that I didn't want her to ruin. We had just moved and I told her she was going to wear panties to bed. She was day trained, but still had several accidents. It's been 8 weeks and she's had only 2 accidents at night. One night when she was sick with a bad cold, she didn't wake up to go pee and the other was the day my husband came home from a 14 month tour in Iraq. I think it was just the excitement. She does very well and has NO accidents during the day now. With my son, I won't be as scared to take away the nighttime pull up, it seems to work best to be 100% potty trained than to confuse them with underwear during the day and diapers/pull ups at night. I thought I would add that when I took them away, she had NEVER woke up dry before. Just something about how she knew she could pee them, and she knows she can't pee her panties. My prediction is that if you take them away cold turkey from your girls, they may pee the bed the first night or two, but they won't pee it anymore after that, they KNOW they can be lazy and not get up to pee because they have something they can pee in. They also KNOW that they cannot pee panties.
- One of my sons was about 5 1/2 when he stopped wearing a nite time diaper the other was slower a little past 6.
