How many nappies does a baby go through per day roughly?
I know its different for every baby but for a newborn, roughly how many is it?

- About 7 or 8 if I remember rightly!
- On average, I would say about 10-12 .........
- You change them roughly every 3hrs.
- In the first few months, I changed them as needed and every couple hours to be sure - trying to avoid diaper rashes when they were so small- I would say that we went through 8 - 10 a day.
- Depends on the baby. My daughter went through 5-6 a day. My oldest son went through 8-10 and my youngest up to 15 a day! It really just depends on the baby, how much they are eating and just exactly what they are eating.
- I changed my babies immediately after they wet or soiled their diapers, which in a newborn is usually every 1-2 hours. A good gauge on how often your baby will go is by reviewing how often you feed your baby...that number is about the same. Also it is my understanding that formula-fed babies and breast-fed babies have different bowel movements because formula isn't as easily digested as breastmilk, thus possibly making the bowel movement occur a little more delayed in a formula-fed baby.
- anything from 7 to 15 depending on the baby all are different just like people are different i poo twice a day some times i poo 3 times a day some times i poo 1 time a day some days i don't poo at all like babies they eat wee poo and cry and sleep as long as they are warm loved well fed and clean that's all that matters
- For a newborn i'd say about 6 nappies a day because when you have a newborn you always go overboard on changing there nappy's. My son is now 9mos old and he goes through 4 or 5 nappies a day (if hes not poorly, that is) because they can go through alot more if they have diarrhoea
- depends on if you are breastfeeding or formula feeding. With breast feeding it was 10 to 14 a day. Now with formula feeding its about 8 times on average a day. She is now 1 month old, but the same held true for my first child as well. I know it varies from child to child because ultimatly it depends on how much they are fed and how well their digestive tracks work.
- General rule of thumb for a newborn is about ten/day. It might be slightly less if you're using disposables.
- Like you said its different for each baby My twins are almost three months. I change Aimee about 10 times a day and Sophie alot less 6-7. Initially i would change them at the same time , But from 6weeks onwards Sophies nappy would be clean when Aimee would need changing. x x x x
- I went through at least 10 a day,,,
- My son when he was a newborn went through at least 10 a day if not more, i was changing him all the time it seemed. But it will depend on each baby some pee more than others!
- Day-Night i would say about 15 maximum
- my baby is 6 weeks old and he has nappy rash :-( so i have to use 12 to 13 but when he didnt about 8 to 10 soooo expensive things
- between 8-10 a day.
