Parents: Ok This may date a few Parents but, Did you like the Old Plastic Disposable Diapers?
Or do you like the diapers how they are made now? Forget the Enviromental Issuue on this one cause if this was an Enviromental issue I wouldn't be talking about disposable diapers. I Just seemed to have like the Plastic Diapers better than the cloth like....Do you agree?

- My mom used plastic w/ me and the other kind w/ my brother and she said she perfered the "new" kind...she said they worked just as well, but were better for baby!
- Believe it or not I used both! For the baby is better to use disposable diapers because it keeps him/her dry. As far as the environment impact goes I don't think that creating so much laundry is good either: lots of water, electricity and detergent. So, in my experience better for the baby and environment to use disposables. Good luck and have fun changing poopy diapers! LOL
- Yes, I preferred the old disposable diapers to the new disposable diapers. But...I use cloth diapers (real ones, not the "cloth" disposables.
- I never used the old ones except when I babysat once or twice. I like the new ones because they're soft and they feel better to the baby and to me.
- The newer ones are more comfortable for the little one and make them cooler and not sweat against the plastic.
- I like the new ones better except for the gel sometimes leaking out. The velcro is nice because you can reposition it and believe me with my son I need to. Always seems like the first attempt is way off to one side. He's very wiggly. But on the other hand it is just way to easy for them to figure out how to take them off. The sticky stayed better. And the cloth style is way better than the plastic.
- YES, I AGREE!!! P.S. The plastic one is still there, all you have to do is peal off the thin paper layer that is covering the plastic.
- The plastic diapers were better. The cloth-like ones aren't 100% waterproof. I've compared the two some time ago and only the plastic ones provided a complete protective barrier.
- I have three boys, the first and last sons got disposables for conveinence sake, and the middle son got a diaper service. The diaper service is wonderful but I think it is pricier (definitely more environmentally friendly).
- yes, I liked them better. and so did my kids skin! I had a handy dandy excuse so I didn't feel so guilty, my kids had sudden infant death syndrome and so had to be on a monitor for their first 18 months. I had to be able to hear their monitor. I couldn't do laundry except for when they were awake. Yeah....that works... Peace
- I was allegeric to the plastic...so my mom had to use cloth on my sister and me. My son has irritation problems with the legs on Pampers Diapers. Huggies Supreme are the only ones that don't seem to irritate his skin!
