Does being raised in disposable diapers lead to infertility?

Me and my DH are having a tough time getting pregnant. My husband wore those mega thick, plastic, no air flow disposable diapers from the early 80's and I am starting to wonder if it may have done some damage to him. My mom used disposables on me too from time to time but I am fine according to my doctor. She told me this problem usually only affects males.

  1. If that were the case, then there would be an epidemic of infertile men, because that's what most moms used on their babies. I doubt this has anything to do with it. Has your husband been tested?
  2. That's silly. Don't even start thinking about ideas like that - you'll make yourself crazy! Not sure how long you have been trying but has it been longer than me? Two years? (and one miscarriage) Maybe it's time you both saw a specialist to see if there is anything wrong. We are, in about 2 weeks, for the second time......... Ho hum
  3. No,never have heard of this.
