is it ok to let daddy change newborn baby girl diapers? im prego with my second child. i already have a 5 year old son and i am expecting a little girl. my husband is my sons step father and is the baby girls real father. my mom is very very old fashion and she told me that its a good idea that i do the diaper changing and baby showering becuase she is a baby girl and that daddy shouldnt becuase she is a girl not a boy. my little boy is 5 years and my husband of 2.5 years, sons step dad, does just fine showing our son how to pee, and shower correctly , and also answers and questions my son has about his "boy parts". in fact my son prefers my husband helps him rather then me for some reason. if i accidently walk by my son and he is naked he is all "mmmoooomm!" it s cute and funny. well what do you guys think. is it ok to let daddy change her diapers?

Why do some men refuse/are scared to change baby girl diapers? SOME I said before I get my head bitten off. My family is Mexican and I have noticed it's mostly Mexican and black men who just flat out say no. Most white men will do it, it's no big deal to them. But what is the big controversy with this issue??? Is it that you have to wipe really good and get a little in there with the wipes when they poo??? It drives me crazy because my baby girl's dad won't change her diper when she pees much less when she poos. And it's not a lazy thing either because he will do everything else he just strictly stays away from diapering her. It's so annoying!!! A man that I volunteer with in a nursery refuses to change little girls' diapers! Your thoughts? I volunteer once a month at my church nursery. My week coincides with that of a family friend who is a fifty something year old man. He is a great guy, but he absoulutely refuses to change the little girls' diapers! Now I wouldn't normally have a problem with this except there are normally about 6 girls and 2 boys that we watch and it is a chuch policy that all kids be changed. Silly question about baby girls? Hi everyone! I have a very silly question, but maybe all you mommies of little girls can help me out! I have two boys, my husband and I know all about little boys, raising them, changing them, potty training them, etc... Everyone with girls keeps saying that they worry about changing boys LOL Its so easy with a boy! There are no "inside" bits, you just have to move the "outside" bits out of the way, although it can be a pin to try and get poo off of wrinkly little baby balls :)

what size diapers to buy for friends baby? My friend of many years is having a baby girl here in about 2-3 weeks. They are having a shower tomorrow and I still need a gift for them. little clear crystal like things in her diaper?? what is this?! i changed my baby girls diaper today and there were a bunch of clear gel crystal like things, almost like that silica gel stuff, it looked kind of weird and it was only around her girl parts, not down into the rectal area. any ideas? is it something to be concerned about? oh-- and we use huggies diapers (i hate them, i'm ready to get back to the pampers haha) but i was wondering if maybe it was from the diaper??

ok, question about baby girls? recently, i brought my infant daughter to visit her grandma for the first time- she's never delt with an infant girl before, as far as diapering and bathing- you know where im going with this.. well, she gave her a bath, then afterward said was getting her dressed and said "oops, i missed something" and i guess, she got a rag and washed up in her "stuff" with it. i was always told, that you dont do that. that all the cleaning thats done during diapering is all that needs to be done down there. i sometimes, during a bath with a baby rag and NO soap will gently swipe in there.. but i dont spread things apart and get all in there.isnt this bad for the natural ph balance of the vagina? anyway, its no big deal, it was once.. but i want to see if i was correct in what i told her before anyone comments on my use of words for things.. yes i already know, technical terms for body parts embarras me the reason why is bc my mom was washing me too much with soap, and i always kept a rash, and i guess she couldnt figure it out, so thats what the doc told her regarding me when i was little

Diaper Review-Hey all you thrifty moms out there -What are the best store brand or cheap diapers out there??? So far I have tried Target brand's Care Bear Diapers (they are pretty good) and I've tried Walmart's Parent's Choice Brand (they are OK) - What ones have you tried -plese list store names and what you thought of them - and tell which ones you like the best- As for the name brand I think Luvs are best cause they dont leak much - Huggies were awful when I tried them -they leaked really bad- and Pampers weren't that great either plus they're more expensive -I got a free sample of White Cloud's New diapers and they were real nice except I cant find them in the stores yet- I want to try Publix Diapers but haven't heard anyone else who's tried them-Please let me know your input.. You would think my baby girl was a diaper model as much as I've tried different ones for her!!!LOL!!!

Does anyone have any idea about this? It has been a few times now that I find in my 6 and a half month old baby girls diaper, a small orange kind of stain in her pee. I have asked telehealth and a nurse friend of mine what this could be and I have also research this on the net. I'm still unsure. I know a possibility could be a urine track infection, but she doesn't seem in pain at all, no fever, no vomiting . She is very well hydrated, eats good and has plenty of breast milk. Her urine does smell strong in the morning but Im sure most of us do.Im getting worried I don't want to go to emergency and my doctor always has a wait of at least 2 weeks. Should I be worrying or is this somehow normal? Im not sure if this could be a reason but she sometimes sleeps her whole nights without drinking, maybe this dehydrates her? How do i accept the fact that I may never know why he up and left us? I would love for someone to share their opinion on how I can get closure for the relationship that just abruptly ended! A little history, I am a single mother of three small children. I have them 100% of the time. I began a relationship with this man July 2007. Long story short, He asked us to move into his "4br big-house"..u will have so much more room..it will be perfect..soo I gave up my "not so beautiful, but yes i can afford it" home and moved across town. 45 minutes to be exact. I had to make the very difficult decision to take my 1st grader out of school, just past the half way mark of the school year and put him in a NEW 1st grade in new district. It actually went a whole lot better and smoother than I feared. He is now in the 2nd grade at this school. And considering many family challenges he and I have endured for the last 5 years, he was doing great. I also need to point out my two other children are toddlers. Now 2and 3 years old. So when this man came into their lives they were 6 months and 19months old. He is truly the only "dad" or "father role" they know. Oh yea...and I need to also state that he has two children ages now 4 and 8. So in case you got confused with all the #'s . We now had a house that S-Thur had 5 children ages 8,8,4,3 and 2! Yea..kinda makes ya gasp or cringe if you arent already used to having several around at all times. But we were making a go at it...The best way we could. Don't have much ,as I have no child support coming in for my three kids, been a stay @ home mother not because It was my dream job or I wanted to. I simply did not have a choice. I began noticing small changes in how he talked to me or the lack there of, and whenever I would say "bebe..somethings bothering you" or "whats wrong" he would give the same old answer...Nothing Bebe, I love you. July of this year, the 4th, to be exact we argue intensely over something that neither of us now remember, and he woke his 2 kids up n the middle of the night and went to his parents. I was devastated. Cried for 2 days..he would call or I would call him and he would say..lets just give each other some time and in the end he came home..saying it was all his fault, he was just acting like an idiot..can i ever find it in my heart to forgive him...wont ever happen again. If my baby has a yeast infection, does that mean shes lactose intolerant? My 7 month old baby girl has never had a diaper rash problem before but this morning she woke up and her bottom was red. Is this a good idea for a baby shower with teen girls AND older women attending? My MIL is throwing me a baby shower, well she's acting like she is. What can you do to help a baby stop crying? About washing baby girls...? Is it okay to just let them soak in a pan of water and a little baking sodas when they poop for about 5 minutes, and then, just wipe them down? Every time she go , i would changed her asap (because it spread to her pant) and wash her behind. Been trying to contact her doc, but she isn't picking up the phone. Will preemie sized baby clothes fit the American Girl Bitty Baby dolls/twins? I'm thinking about getting the American Girl Bitty Twins for my daughter for her 3rd birthday. She loves to change her doll clothes and diaper her baby doll, but the American Girl clothes are so expensive! Does anyone know if preemie sized clothes will fit the Bitty Baby/Bitty Twins? It's really sad that real baby clothes are 1/2 the price of the doll clothes!!

What would you do if a lady began changing her baby’s diaper on the table on a McDonalds? I was eating at McDonald’s restaurant. I there was a lady with a baby on one of the tables. All the sudden, she lays the baby on one the tables, and begins to change his diaper. I could not believe she was doing it in one of the table with people around eating. There was a man on another table with a really disgusted face, I thought he would say something, but he didn’t. One of the girl who worked there, was looking at her, but didn’t say anything either. Whate kind of Diapers should i get.? Ok I admit that this is an odd question but I would love to know, If their are any baby diapers that would fit me. How do i make spaces for baby when i live in one bed room apt with my husband? I have average side living room and bedroom.. and we have a lot of stuff..Plan to do storage.. but no time yet.. I know i may need a lot of stuff for my baby.. like crib, baby car seat and so much more... and i have small kitchen and really small bathroom that can fit one person maybe two sometime depend on that person size.. I am trying to make space for my baby.. that is not due until Oct. and i would be moving until next year to bigger places..hopefully right now two people in this apt is fine but extra person would be more less spaces if though it little baby boy or girl. I Only know few things i may need for my baby when it here like crib, diaper, food... and few toys.. but there so much more things we need... and i donot have that much spaces... i been trying to clean up some spaces for things.. but it seem so less spaces... And i know about storage places...but with baby stuff would not have spaces because of all they stuff.. :( .... what can I do?

Diapers: girls vs boys? I just had a baby shower. My two girlfriends with boys said Huggies are best. My two girlfriends with girls said Pampers are best. Can anyone confirm or deny this? Also, what about generic brands? Do any of them work just as well? I don't know what "kind" of baby I am having so I have a few different kinds on hand but I wanted some other Mom opinions! anyone know any baby shower favor ideas? i dont want to make a diaper cake. i know about the baby bottle with candy. i've been searching every possible site already and i'm not too satisfied. i remember going to a baby shower with my mom as a little girl and i remember that they had pins for all the guests. anyone know about this? i remember mini baby bottles and a big safety pin... probably hot glue? i also remeber a mini baby diaper on the pins too. someone please help.... what about some baby shower games?

Does anyone know anything about baby rashes? My baby girl has a pretty bad rash. I thought it was from teething. Now I'm not so sure. It's very red and she is trying to scratch at it. I was trying to air out her little bottom. But she keeps trying to touch or scratch at it. The Destin doesn't seem to be working. Could this be a baby yeast infection? My son was allergic to huggie products. I'm wodering if the new diapers or wipes may be causing some issues too? If anyone has any suggestions that could help me. I would be very grateful. How long should I wait to have another baby? We have two girls - 6 years old and the youngest 10 months old - so obviously I had all of the "baby" out of my oldest when the baby came but we are thinking about having one more baby to try for a boy. How long should I wait? I think since having 5 years between the girls it made having the baby easier since I wasn't chasing another one in diapers. I don't want to wait another five years but what do you think? I will be 35 in June and my husband will be 39 in October. Thanks!
